We're Glad You're Here !
Tryon United Methodist is a wonderful place to help you discover God's plan for you, offer encouragement and meet new friends. We wish you the very best and hope you will come and visit soon.
A TUMC member would like to share a parable she read in a book the other day that made her think of the Tryon United Methodist Church family. She says, "When I am at church, I feel like I’m home ! And when I’m away, I can’t wait to come back home.”
...A little girl was running up and down the streets of the big town where she lived, but she couldn’t find a single landmark. She was very frightened. Finally a policeman stopped to help her. He put her in the passenger seat of his car, and they drove around until she finally saw her church. She pointed it out to the policeman, and then she told him firmly, “You could let me out now. This is my church, and I can always find my way home from here. The person in the book who shared that story, further went on to say that for that same reason she stays close to her church because no matter how bad she is feeling, how lost or lonely or frightened, when she sees the faces of the people at her church, and hears their voices, she can always find her way home...
You will feel welcome at Tryon United Methodist Church.
