WHY YOUR GIVING
MATTERS

Corinthians 9:7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

In addition to our church operation, your giving helps TUMC support many local, national and international ministries. The United Methodist Church supports missions around the world through the Board of Global Ministries and UMC resources are often first on the scene of a major catastrophe. We at Tryon United Methodist Church support those efforts as a part of our church budget.

If you wish however, you may also designate that your gift be directed to a specific ministry . Among the ministries that we actively support are the following:

Cambodia Street Children’s Ministry

Christmas at White Oak Care Facility

Children’s Outreach Polk County Schools

Faithful Families

Habitat for Humanity (local)

Hendersonville (NC) Rescue Mission

Kairos Prison Ministry

Life for Children (Africa)

Steps to Hope

Thermal Belt Outreach (local)

To learn more about any of these ministries, please contact a member of the Mission Committee or the Church Office.

There are many ways for you to make your gift. Most people place cash or checks in an offering envelope and drop it in the collection plate as it is passed each week. You may also send your gift to:

Tryon United Methodist Church

195 New Market Road

Tryon, NC 28782

828 859 9218

Good things are happening here at Tryon UMC.  They are happening because of you.   Consider how you can faithfully support the ministries of our church and community.  And, in all things know that your answer to God ’s call to serve others is a reflection of God ’s love for all.

WHY OUR GIVING
MATTERS

We are called to be the hands and feet of Christ and it is through our giving and service that we are able to do God’s work.

OUR MISSION

The people of Tryon United Methodist Church seek to answer God ’s call to be disciples of Christ, to come together for worship and spiritual growth, to share our love for others and to look beyond ourselves to serve the needs of our church and community.
