Jeremiah - Women's Bible Study-Daring to Hope in an Unstable World

Learn to surrender to God's will and rest your hope in Him alone. When we look around at today's world, hope usually isn't the first word that comes to mind. In many ways we live in an unstable world where marriages fail, bank accounts run low, friendships end, and the everyday demands of a fast-paced life get us down. In the Book of Jeremiah, we find God calling out to His people with a message of hope - a message that intentional living is possible even in an unstable world. But how do we do this? Where do we start?

Study Guide (optional): $13.00

Please contact the church office to sign up.

Letters To The Church

By Francis Chan

Beginning Sunday, March 31, 2019 at 4:00 PM

If God had it His way, what would our churches look like?  When Jesus returns, will He find us caring for His Bride-even more than for our own lives? Letters to the Church reminds us of how powerful, how glorious the Church once was … and calls us to once again be the Church God intended us to be.    Join us in this 9-session study.  Book: $13

What is Lent

Early Christians observed with great devotion the days of our Lord’s passion and resurrection, and it became the custom of the Church that before the Easter celebration there should be a forty-day season of spiritual preparation. During this season converts to the faith were prepared for Holy Baptism.

It was also a time when those who had committed serious sins were reconciled by penitence and forgiveness and restored to participation in the life of the Church. In this way the whole congregation was reminded of the mercy and forgiveness proclaimed in the gospel of Jesus Christ and the need we all have to renew our faith.

In this season, we desire to turn our hearts more fully toward the Divine.  We will use these next 40 days to examine our lives and work to eliminate habits that distract us from the holy, or to embrace habits that point us toward the holy. We pray that in these days ahead we will turn more fully toward Christ so that our hearts are aligned to our treasure

For those who wish to donate Easter lilies for the Easter Service in the Sanctuary, please fill out the donation slip included in the bulletin indicating the person(s) in whose honor or memory you are donating, and place the order and the payment in the donation plate. The cost per plant is $12.50.  Today is the deadline.

 Please Contribute to HUNGER POTS

Please drop your donations in the Hunger Pots as you enter the church or Fellowship Hall. Your donations will contribute to the food pantry at Thermal Belt Outreach Ministry. Our monthly goal is $166 in order to reach our commitment of $2,000 annually
