Beginning Sunday, November 19, 2017

9:50 AM in the church library

All are invited to join in this 5-session small group Bible study DVD, “Anxious for Nothing” by Max Lucado.  Studies have shown that Americans are the most anxious people in the world. We take the most medication for it, see doctors to treat it, and spend fortunes trying to relieve it. How have we let our fears get the better of us? Max Lucado leads readers to reflect on the promises of Philippians 4:4-8. This passage from Paul's epistle contains an antidote to anxiety that will help you develop a mindset of resilience. Rediscover the power of prayer and take control of your thoughts. You can rest in "the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding."   Book: $14

Sessions include:
1. Rejoice in the Lord Always
2. Let Your Gentleness Be Evident To All
3. Present Your Requests To God
4. The Peace of God Will Guard Your Heart
5. Meditate On These Things

Congratulations Harrison Turnage

THE PAGE TURNERS - Wednesday, November 22

The Page Turners meeting will be a discussion of The Hidden Life of Trees by Peter Wohlleben. Groundbreaking scientific discoveries describe how trees are like human families: tree parents live together with their children, communicate with them, support them as they grow, share nutrients with those who are sick or struggling, and even warn each other of impending dangers. Come join us as we encounter this fascinating subject. Note the date change from the 15th to the 22nd. Contact Lynn Montgomery at 625-0675 for information.
