From the Pastor’s Desk…
Our part-time interim Pastor, Mike Bailey, in his own words, "loves to preach, visit and invite". His initial plans, as your part-time interim, are to try out visiting parishioners on Saturday. And then on Sunday, visiting, after worship, in the community, which would include introducing himself to all of the business owners downtown and other civic leaders. This plan is flexible at this point and if it's modified later to better serve the congregation, we'll let the membership know. If you'd like to have Mike drop by so that, he may get to know your household, or, if know of those who are in need of what he calls "a bit of prayer and pastoral attention" or are homebound don't hesitate to reach out to the church office or Mike personally (by text or calling him at 336-829- 0157, as well as emailing: mbailey@wnccumc.net). On Mondays he will be in office, likely a half day, to coordinate worship and communications. Of course, if there are pastoral emergencies (ie. serious illnesses, surgeries, deaths etc.) he wants to be available to offer pastoral support on any day at any time.
